Ten years ago, I had just graduated from college, and my girlfriend at the time, who is now my wife, was in medical school.

We had a good life together, but our growth felt limited. We had big goals for our future, but we were also living with real pressure every day.

At the time, I was working as an assistant at a local real estate brokerage. I was thankful for the job, but the income was not enough to make ends meet.

We were living paycheck to paycheck, and I knew that if I wanted to build a better life for my future family, I had to make a change.

That is when I decided to earn my real estate license and become a full-time real estate agent. I thought getting started would create new opportunities, and it did, but the first couple of years were very hard.

I was trying to build a business from nothing while my wife was going through residency and working long, demanding hours.

During that same season, life kept moving quickly. I helped start a brewery, we got married, and we welcomed our daughter, Ellie.

A few years later, our son, Henry, was born. We were building the life we had dreamed about, but we were also trying to manage a lot at once.

My wife was working around 80 hours a week in medicine, and I was trying to grow a business while also being present for our young family.

I started to see how much pressure a medical career can put on the whole household. It was not just my wife carrying the weight of her schedule.

Our whole family felt the long hours, the stress, and the need for dependable support.

Eventually, I knew something had to change. I became a silent partner at the brewery so I could focus more on my family and my real estate business.

That decision gave me a clearer view of what really mattered to me.

During that time, I learned how much families rely on people they can trust. We needed people who would show up, guide us, and make life easier when things felt busy or uncertain.

That experience changed the way I looked at real estate.

I did not want to be just another agent who opened doors and wrote offers. I wanted to become the kind of person families could count on during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
